Dexter Capuyan and Gene Roz Jamil “Bazoo” de Jesus were forcibly disappeared on April 28, 2023. They were abucted in Taytay, Rizal by armed men who identified themselves to be with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, a department of the Philippine National Police.

Capuyan, 56, is a long-time indigenous peoples organizer in the Cordillera region, while De Jesus, 27, is a staff of the Philippine Task Force for Indigenous Peoples Rights.
