Lumads and progressive groups held a protest in time for President Aquino’s visit in Davao City today, Sept.9.

Jong Monson, Secretary General of the Pasaka Lumad Confederation of Southern Mindanao chided Aquino for remaining blind to the killings of Lumads by paramilitary and soldiers in Mindanao, with 13 deaths in this year alone.

“We call for the pullout of the military in our communities and the disarming of paramilitary groups which brought impunity to our communities,” said Monson.
