While a lot of party-list groups had a hard time applying for accreditation and were eventually rejected for not meeting the requirements such as having a national organization or for not representing a clear marginalized group, some were surprisingly accredited, mainly those identified with Malacanang. The group Kontra Daya has questioned the Comelec for accrediting recently six government-sponsored party-list groups.
