In a press conference on Thursday, May 14, 2009, the women’s group Gabriela and lawyer Evalyn Ursua presented Vanessa to the press. Vanessa alleged that she had been raped by a US serviceman. Ursua asserted that more Filipinas will be raped if the Visiting Forces Agreement is not abrogated.
