Residents in Andap village, New Bataan town in Compostela Valley say this chapel saved the lives of many when typhoon Pablo hit their area last December 4. The structure was damaged, they said, but the altar was not destroyed where the stone image of Jesus was placed. Hundreds, however, died in this village.

Typhoon Pablo completely destroys houses and resorts in the area of Andap village, New Bataan, Compostela Valley last December 4.

This once busy community, sadly, has become desolate.
