MAITUM, Sarangani – Tourists navigate part of the 1.6-kilometer white water tubing route at Pangi River in barangay New la Union (NLU).

The place has been consistently drawing visitors, some 25 tourists on average per day. NLU White Water Tubing Eco Park fees are P200 per person for the tube ride and P10 per person in entrance fee.

Pangi River is one of the country’s cleanest rivers. But it is under threat from mining and logging activities in its headwaters. The Sarangani local government wishes to protect it.
