The International Criminal Court is scheduled to conduct the confirmation of charges hearing against former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte is accused of crimes against humanity for implementing a deadly “war on drugs” during his administration.

“He was responsible for the command and direction of the whole PNP, including the utilisation of the PNP and its units and personnel,” the Chamber noted. “He also had the power to impose disciplinary sanctions and bore command responsibility for his subordinates.”
The judges are selected in consideration of the overall judicial workload of the Court, the workload and individual concerns of respective judges, their previous involvement in cases, experience and expertise.
