Revolutionary group asks Filipinos to brace for, repudiate, Aquino's "deluge of lies."
As prices of basic products and services continue to increase, national labor center Kilusang Mayo Uno asked the public to participate in the “Protestang Bayan vs. Nagtataasang Presyo at Demolisyon.” Holding of protests is the only way Filipinos can have the chance of preventing price hikes and demolition of poor communities, Roger Soluta, KMU secretary-general, said in a statement.
“We demand justice for the victims of Erdogan’s fascist rule. The Turkish government must immediately release those arrested in protests and lift the ban on mass meetings and protest actions."

The youth group Anakbayan expressed support for the whistleblower who exposed the existence of a U.S 'Internet spying' program, and called on Philippine government employees to do the same regarding Internet and communications surveillance likely being done by the Aquino administration.
“The extent of support given by the local police to the company is alarming especially because fundamental human rights of the workers have been gravely violated,” said Arman Hernando, CTUHR coordinator for documentation.
As reports abound regarding the lack of transparency in the conduct of the 2013 elections which was marred by many breakdowns and shortcuts, national labor center Kilusang Mayo Uno called for a “FIT Audit” – a full, immediate and transparent audit of the poll results.
The most common problems reported are PCOS machine shutdowns and jams, rejected ballots, back-up memory loss and printer malfunctions.
During the 2010 elections, 16-percent of reports to Kontradaya involved PCOS machines; this election, it made up three of every five reports to KontraDaya.
