The Central Committee of the CPP, in a statement on the 55th founding anniversary of the NPA, said that the Party’s third rectification movement is frustrating government plans to annihilate the NPA, adding that all 14 NPA regional commands remain intact.
“Contrary to international laws of war, the victims were tortured and killed.”
The 55-year old Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) called on its members to launch a rectification movement to recover from admitted setbacks suffered in recent years.
CPP chief information officer Marco Valbuena said their group and the New People’s Army (NPA) firmly reject Marcos Jr.’s “treacherous offer of amnesty and surrender” as an additional instrument of deception and oppression.
“The Party denounces the gross inhumane treatment of the elderly revolutionaries who have lived lives in service of the oppressed and exploited masses.”
“We gather today not just to mourn but to pay tribute.”
“It is important to underscore how the decision concluded that the CPP and NPA are not terrorists, rather, are waging armed resistance with clear political aims and directs its attacks, not against civilians, but against agents of the reactionary state represented by the government of the Republic of the Philippines.”
