"With billions in investment reserve funds, increasing income from investments, and growing contributions from a widening member base, SSS is definitely poised to extend its fund life. There is no way that the state pension fund will go bankrupt just because of the pension hike."
The disparity between the rich and the poor has only widened as wages were kept depressed and dragged further down by the two-tier wage system, which the Aquino administration introduced early into its term.

The public-private deal concerning LRT will give the Ayala-MVP Group the benefit of the government’s official development assistance (ODA) in financing more than half of the total project cost of about P65-billion. The government committed to shoulder the right of way acquisition, purchase of coaches, civil works, among other expenses.
